An injury update ahead of our trip up north..

The journey of the first half of the 2024 TNM Super League comes to an end this weekend as we make a trip to play Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday.

Not all our players will wrap the first half with us due to various injuries. This is the injury update as of 25th July 2024:

On a bright side, Binwell Katinji has returned to training this week ahead of our fifteenth match of the season. The last time he featured for the Area 47 outfit was on 24th June when he fractured his ribs in a match against Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Joining Katinji in full training is Charles Chipala who is still in rehabilitation as he has been nursing a hamstring injury. The forward is still being monitored to determine his full availability.

On the other side, left back Tatenda M’balaka is out this weekend as he is nursing a knee injury that he sustained last week when we played Mzuzu City Hammers at home. Currently he is awaiting an MRI scan to determine the way forward.

Still out of action is forward Gift Chunga who may join the rest of the squad in training at the start of the second round. At the moment, the medics are estimating about two weeks until his return to action.

Apart from the aforementioned players, the rest of the team members are fit and geared for action come Sunday.
