Khuda Muyaba seals Jordan move

Former Flames striker Khuda Muyaba has found a new home after signing a one-year contract with Jordanian Pro League side Ma’an.

Muyaba has joined the club as a free agent after the expiry of his five-month contract with Betway Premiership side Richards Bay in South Africa.

According to documents which Times Sport has seen, Muyaba’s deal will end at the end of the 2024/25 season.

However, the deal can be extended if the team participates in a continental championship.

Muyaba confirmed the deal Tuesday saying he is expected to travel to Jordan Thursday to start a new lease of life.

“I am good to go after finalising everything with the club. I am always a professional. I am a real fighter and I will score more goals for the club,’’ he said.

Muyaba has returned to Asia after playing for Syrian club Tishreen Sports Club in 2023.

Sports analyst Parry Chinyama described Muyaba as a quality player who always aims high.

“He is a hard worker and a very good player. I am sure he will score more goals in Jordan,’’ he said.

Muyaba made his breakthrough when he joined South African side Polokwane FC from Silver Strikers in 2021.

He moved to Polokwane with a good reputation after winning the TNM Super League golden boot award with 21 goals.

While at Polokwane, he netted 16 goals and finished as the second top goal scorer in the Motsepe Foundation League in 2022.

Ma’an was founded in 1971 and first participated in the Jordanian Pro League in 2020. The team finished sixth out of 12 teams last season.
