Head coach Peter Mponda has emphasized the importance of securing a win on Saturday to regain lost momentum after the two-week international break.
Silver Strikers FC last played before the FIFA International break on 29 August this year in a 1 all draw against Chitipa United at Karonga Stadium in Karonga.
Mponda believes his players are professional enough to catch up and yield positive results as they host Moyale Barracks at Silver Stadium in week 20 of the 2024 TNM Super League.
“We are trying to get there as you know the break was a bit long for us. We are not complaining, but we are seeing it as a break in our momentum however the guys know the task at hand. We played against Moyale in Mzuzu where we dropped two points but this time around we are playing at home and it’s a must win game. We need to collect all the maximum points, we know how good they are, but we also know their weaknesses. As Silver Strikers we have got enough quality to capitalize on their weaknesses”, said Mponda.
The Area 47 outfit will be without Tatenda M’balaka and Atusaye Nyondo due to injury.
Silver Strikers are top of the table with 44 points from 18 games played.
