Head Coach Peter Mponda has said they are taking no chances but keeping the momentum they had in the first half of the TNM Super league when the team faces Karonga United at Karonga Stadium on Saturday.
Mponda said maximum points on Saturday are a must to show the intent the team has in the top flight though playing against Karonga at their backyard is a tough assignment but the boys have been told how important these three points are.
Silver Strikers won 4-2 in the first round at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.
“We are playing a side that is doing well and we have the motivation to do well. However, we believe these points are a must-win and we would like to continue from where we stopped, it will be a tough game but the players are prepared. We know we are facing them at a time when they are in good form but we will make sure we take down the pressure”, said Mponda.
Silver Strikers roll out the second round as the only unbeaten side with 37 points from 15 games played in the first round.
