TNM Super League rookies Creck Sporting Club have expressed interest in signing the experienced duo of Muhammad Sulumba and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers striker Vincent Nyangulu.
Sulumba is back in the country after the expiry of his contract with Kuwaiti side Sulaibikhat Sporting Club.
Creck Chairperson Muhammad Selemani said they are looking to secure the signature of two strikers.
“We need to strengthen the squad, especially the striking force. The transfer window is open, and we are still assessing options. We have had discussions with Sulumba, but we will not disclose further details,” Selemani said.
In a separate interview Wednesday, Sulumba mentioned that he was on the verge of joining a local club.
“I will play for one of the local teams in the second round. It would be premature for me to disclose the identity of the team,” Sulumba said.
The former Polokwane City and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets striker scored eight goals in Kuwait last season. He also had a brief stint in Bahrain before moving to Kuwait.
Meanwhile, Selemani confirmed that they have written to Wanderers and Karonga United requesting the services of Nyangulu and hitman Blessings Mwalilino, respectively.
“We are waiting for feedback from both Wanderers and Karonga. The two players could help us achieve our target this season,” he said.
Creck have already signed defender Chris Liwemba from Chitipa United on a three-year deal. They are currently in sixth place on the 16-member log table with 23 points from 15 matches.
