Silver Strikers Ladies forward, Chikondi Gondwe, has set the 2024 Central Region Goshen Women’s Football League Golden Boot race ablaze, scoring 10 goals in just seven games.
In her second season with the Area 47-based club, Gondwe leads the chart, three goals ahead of Civil Service Women’s Jessie Yosefe. Close behind in third is Gondwe’s teammate, Deborah Henry, last season’s top scorer, with six goals.
Gondwe’s impressive tally has been vital for Silver Strikers Ladies, who are leading the goal-scoring charts with a 26-goal difference—five ahead of longtime rivals, Civil Service Women.
The prolific striker joined Silver Strikers Ladies in 2023 from Mzuzu based CY Sisters and she netted 15 goals in her debut season.
