Voting for July MIKA Player of the Month opens!

Here comes the MIKA Greenland Player of the Month for July.

In July, Silver Strikers faced Kamuzu Barracks, FOMO FC, Mzuzu City Hammers and Moyale Barracks in the 2024 TNM Super League. During these games three players have been nominated for their exceptional performances and they are captain Chikondi Kamanga, midfielder Chimwemwe Idana, and forward Stanie Davie.

Chikondi Kamanga had a wonderful month of July as he showed great leadership and a strong mentality in the game. His ability to shield our defense from the center of the pitch helped us concede only two goals the whole month. Chikondi was so instrumental in midfield as he was also a starting point for attacking moves for our side. His energetic presence in our team kept us going until the finish of the first round without tasting defeat. This is the second time Chikondi has been nominated for the monthly award this season proving his abilities to the team at the highest level.

The second nominee who is Chimwemwe Idana proved to have had a fantastic month since the start of the 2024 season. His deft touches in the middle of the park have won him the Ziva Man of the Match award twice thus far, the only player to win it more than once this season. He won it against Kamuzu Barracks and Moyale Barracks. Idana had a goal to his name in July as he scored the leveler against Kamuzu Barracks in the 2-2 thriller at Civo Stadium. This is his first nomination for the monthly award this season.

Lastly, Stanie Davie also had a wonderful month providing assists and scoring goals to help his side win crucial points. Davie who had a slow start to the season has managed to score three goals in July, two against Mzuzu City Hammers and one against Kamuzu Barracks. If that is not enough, Davie had an assist to his name in the match he scored against Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium. Currently, he has won the Ziva Security Services Man of the Match Award once. This also happens to be his first nomination for the monthly award this season.
