Silver Strikers Football Club unveiled Ziva Security Services as the sponsor for the team’s Man of the Match Award on Thursday afternoon.
Ziva Security Services has pumped in MK3 million where 20 players in the remaining 20 Super League matches will be presented with MK100,000 for being a man of the match.
The Man of the Match award goes to an outstanding player and will be chosen by a technical meeting after each game.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Silver Strikers Limited Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba said the award will motivate the players to do more and help the team get the much-needed results.
“We are thrilled this afternoon to receive this sponsorship from ZIva Security Services. As you might be aware we announced some partnerships before this but still felt we should have more partners so that we motivate our players. A Motivated player brings good results on the ground therefore we feel this will do us good in the end”, said Chimimba.
On the other end, Ziva Security Services Managing Director Jefferson Milanzi said the thought of partnering with Silver Strikers came as one way of motivating young people and developing the game of football in the country.
Milanzi said that Ziva Security Services thought to gain visibility on the market they felt to partner with Silver Strikers as they have a huge following.
“We believe the youth in the country have what it takes to do well in whatever they do therefore we thought it wise to motivate these youths (players) to do well in their field. Partnering with Silver Strikers FC gives us a mirage in our quest to provide job opportunities for the youths as we ride on a winning brand”, said Milanzi.
Currently, Silver Strikers top the standings in the top-flight league with 26 points from ten games played.
