Casper Jangale linked with Creck Sporting post

Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Club Licencing and Compliance Manager Casper Jangale has been linked with the chief executive officer (CEO)’s post at Creck Sporting.

Jangale tendered in his resignation letter to Fam General Secretary Alfred Gunda on Monday.

Creck Sporting Chairperson Muhammad Selemani said he was not sure if the hiring of a CEO at the club has been decided.

Selemani said Jangale and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets former CEO Suzgo Nyirenda have been asking to meet Creck patron Clifford Kawinga.

“I do not know what is going on but I remember that I had a meeting with the patron about possibilities of hiring a CEO. So it might be true that Mr Jangale talked to our patron.

“In fact, they have been talking for quite some time. So I will wait until I am informed about this. Mr Nyirenda also asked for our patron’s mobile numbers for some discussion,” he said.

Jangale confirmed resigning from Fam but declined to shed light on his next move.

“After working for Fam from 2005, it is time to take another step. So it is indeed true that I am leaving. But I have not made any decision as regards joining any institution. This is a confidential matter. What you can take as of now is that I have tendered in my resignation letter at Fam on Wednesday,” he said.

Earlier this week, Creck reinstated their suspended coach MacDonald Mtetemera after being suspended for two months over poor results.

Creck travel to Dedza tomorrow to face Dedza Dynamos in a TNM Super League match.

The Super League newcomers are fourth on the table with 29 points from 18 matches.
