Silver Strikers joint top goal scorer Adiel Kaduya is set to dump the Area 47 side to undergo further studies at Master’s University in California, United States of America.
Kaduya, who has been one of revelations this season, confirmed that he has already been granted a visa to travel to US and that he notified the Central Bankers.
“I was informed that my visa is ready and anytime from now, I will fly to join Master’s University where, apart from football, I will also study sports management for a period of four years.
“I will not abandon my career, I will continue playing football whilst in US,” Kaduya said.
He has scored four goals in seven TNM Super League games having missed three matches due to an injury.
Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba declined to comment on the matter when contacted.
“Boss, no comment,” Chimimba said briefly.
Meanwhile, a local football analyst Roy M’dechi has hailed the player for pursuing higher education apart from his football career which is short term.
“This is good for the player and his future as we say football is a short term career and education is key. I am happy for him because he must go and do his education first then football can just be a plus. But this is not good for the Central Bankers as he has been one of their top players this season, scoring vital goals and helping the club to get the desired results,” M’dechi said.
Kaduya is currently Silver’s joint top goal scorer with Stain Dave after both scored four goals each.
Currently, Kamuzu Barracks forward Zeliati Nkhoma is the league’s top goal scorer with eight goals from 10 games.
