Voting for the September Player of the Month has been opened on Friday with Levison Maganizo, Zebron Kalima, and Chimwemwe Idana being nominated for the prestigious monthly award.
In September, the Central Bankers played in four matches against Moyale Barracks (1-1) at Silver Stadium then a 1-0 win against Kamuzu Barracks before back-to-back Airtel Top 8 Matches against Dedza Dynamos.
The following are the details of the September nominees:
Zebron Kalima: The Bankers jersey number 10 had a September to remember as he won two man of the match awards and saw the back of the net twice. Kalima was the scorer when we shared spoil at home for the first time this season as we played against Moyale Barracks and got his first Man of the Match award for the first time this season.
Kalima then got his second Man of the Match when we hosted Dedza Dynamos in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 where he scored the game’s second goal. The winger is being nominated for the first time this season.
Levison Maganizo: The midfield maestro has marked his return to Silver Strikers with perfect performances in September. The midfielder has set standards high with his deft touches in midfield.
Maganizo has started all four matches in September for Silver Strikers and has provided stability as he has been the center of possession as we build our attacks. The skillful and experienced midfielder gets his first nomination for this award for the first time.
Chimwemwe Idana: The July Mika Greenland Player of the Month gets his second nomination this year. Idana scored one goal against Dedza Dynamos at home when he dribbled past two defenders to open up himself and finished off his effort beautifully.
‘Gattuso’ as he is fondly called won the Man of the Match award when we played against Kamuzu Barracks at Silver Stadium. Idana played in three matches in September.
