Head Coach Peter Mponda has said the match against Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday is an opportunity to return to winning ways after exiting the FDH Cup in the Round of 32 last Sunday.
This will be the twelfth match of the 2024 TNM Super League season where the Central Bankers are still top of the table with 29 points from 11 games. The Area 47 outfit is the only side yet to taste defeat in the league.
Mponda feels the approach to the match should see the team controlling possession and creating a lot of chances in order to grab maximum points.
“This will be a difficult game as we are playing a side that is also coming from a loss like us. Kamuzu Barracks is a good side that plays a physical game and keeps possession, so we need to find a way to break them. We are going into this match with a good feeling as we are boasting of being the only side unbeaten and it was easy to motivate the boys during the week”, said Mponda.
Kamuzu Barracks are third on the Standings with 20 points from 11 games played.
